Changes to Professional Support for CD Accountable Officer

As of 1st April 2021, Arden & GEM Commissioning Support Unit will no longer provide Professional Support to the Controlled Drug
Accountable Officer, this will be taken over by NHS England and NHS Improvement.
The CDAO, Amit Dawda, will remain the same for the West Midlands. Amit and his new team can be contacted at england.westmidlandscd@nhs.net from 1st April 2021.
In terms of reporting incidents and requesting Authorised Witness destructions, these should be completed through the online reporting tool at www.cdreporting.co.uk
All additional queries can be dealt with by sending through to the new email address – england.westmidlandscd@nhs.net
We advise that all organisational SOPs are updated from the 1st of April to reflect this change
